The passing of a Schiller

We have more sad news.  My mom, Dorothy (aka ‘Bobbie’) Schiller Andacht, passed away 21 December, only two months after dad died.  We all believe that she died of a broken heart.  Mom lived every moment of her 85 years to the fullest.  Mom was known for her quick wit and sense of humor, and created lifelong friendships wherever she was.  She loved golf, bridge, travel, good food (especially anything with butter, cheese, or bacon), an occasional scotch and water, but mostly, she loved dad.  We will miss you, mom.

Bud and I brought a few of mom and dad’s ashes with us to spread in some of their favorite places and places they did not have time to explore.  We paid tribute to their lives just off from the Coast Guard station in the Beaufort inlet just before heading south, and in the inlet just north of Fripp Island.  Rest in peace, mom and dad.
